After the Defendant pleaded not guilty, the prosecution counsel asked the court for a trial date and to also remand the 1st Defendant in the Correctional Facility pending the hearing and determination of the matter. Counsel to the Defendants, however, prayed the court for a short adjournment to enable her to file bail application for the defendants. The trial judge thereafter, ordered that the 1st Defendant be remanded in Port Harcourt Correctional Centre while he adjourned the matter for commencement of trial.
