Following the Defendants not guilty pleas, the prosecution counsel urged the court to fix a date for trial. The defense counsel, however, informed the court of a pending bail application before the court and also served on the prosecution. The trial judge, after studying the application and the accompanying affidavit, granted the Defendant bail in the sum of N20,000,000.00 and two sureties, who must be civil servants of not less than Grade Level 14. The sureties must work and reside in the Federal Capital Territory and must present copy of their last promotion letters for verification. The trial judge thereafter adjourned the matter for commencement of trial.
