In view of the Defendant's admission of guilt, the prosecution counsel reviewed the facts of the case and urged the court to convict and sentence him accordingly, while the defense counsel asked the court to temper justice with mercy. The trial judge thereafter sentenced the Defendant to six (6) months imprisonment with N50,000.00 option of fine on each of the two counts. In addition to the prison term, the convict was ordered to restitute his victim, the sum of N2,38,000.00 being the proceeds of his crime.
