Case Update
In view of the Defendants' admission of guilt, the prosecution counsel urged the court to convict him accordingly. He also prayed the court to order the forfeiture of all proceeds of the said crime to the Federal Government. Delivering judgment, the trial judge condemned the prevalent wave of cyber criminality by young Nigerians who no longer desire to work hard, but want to make quick money. He thereafter convicted and sentenced the Defendant to two (2) months imprisonment with an option of N10,000.00 fine. The trial judge also ordered the forfeiture of all items recovered and identified as proceeds from the crime to the Federal Government.
