In view of the defendant’s plea, the trial judge thereafter convicted and sentenced him to three years imprisonment with an option of N150,000.00 (One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) fine. The court also ordered that his mobile phone be auctioned by the Deputy Court Registrar of the court and proceed paid into the Treasury Single Account of the Federation. The convict was also ordered to submit his Bank Verification Numbers and National Identification Number to the court which will also be verified by the Deputy Court Registrar after which he would swear to affidavit of good behavior and another affidavit, showing that he had complied with the submission of his particulars.
